Hi, a quick note regarding recent developments at the sailing club:

New Members
A warm welcome to all those new members who have joined the club this season and I am taking this opportunity to invite you to the New Members Evening on 22nd September, where you will have the opportunity to meet Flag Officers, Committee members and members of the club. At this event there will be cheese and biscuits, a table top sale of sailing gear and a quiz organised by your New Members Secretary, Lynne Hagan.

24 Hour Race
Thanks to all those who came along and sailed and supported the Bolton Sailing Club team. A special thanks to Richard Craig who managed the team and Geoff Benson who kindly lent his boat.

Sport England Grant
We have been successful in a recent grant application with Sport England which has enabled the club to purchase two new RS Visions which will replace the ageing GP14s.

Supernova Fleet
We have had three new additions to the fleet and have now 16 boats on the dinghy park which makes it the second largest fleet in the club behind the GP14s. Let’s see a good turnout for the rest of the season so we can be considered for our own Fleet start next season.

House Committee Events
The House Committee are in the process of finalising the social events for the remainder of the season which will include Halloween Night for the juniors, the Laying Up Supper which comprises of food and the end of season panto. The final social event for the year will be the annual Carol Concert to be held on Sunday December 4th.

Sailing Matters
Another date for your diary is the Sailors Meeting on Sunday 23rd October after racing.

Keep your eyes peeled for further info from your Vice and Rear Commodores who will be advertising the above events in detail.
